Policies & Strategies
At Fouadi Foundation, our commitment to humanitarian principles is reflected in a strong foundation of internal policies and forward-looking strategies. These tools ensure that our operations are principled, our staff is accountable, and our beneficiaries are protected and empowered. Each policy is more than a guideline, it is a promise to uphold the values we represent.
1. Child Protection Policy
We uphold the absolute right of every child to a life free from violence, exploitation, and neglect. Fouadi has established a comprehensive safeguarding framework that all staff, volunteers, contractors, and partners must adhere to. This includes mandatory reporting of suspected abuse, routine child protection training, and a zero-tolerance approach to misconduct. All programs involving children are designed to be safe, inclusive, and empowering.
2. Code of Conduct
Integrity and respect are at the core of our organizational culture. Our Code of Conduct defines the ethical and professional standards expected from everyone representing Fouadi. It covers neutrality in conflict zones, anti-corruption, non-discrimination, safeguarding, and respectful engagement with communities. Violations are taken seriously and subject to disciplinary action.
3. Gender Equality & Inclusion Strategy
We believe that inclusive humanitarian action is effective humanitarian action. Fouadi integrates gender equity and inclusion across all programming, ensuring that women, men, girls, boys, and people with disabilities have equitable access to services. We apply gender-sensitive needs assessments, inclusive design, and targeted community engagement to amplify marginalized voices.
4. Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) Policy
We put people at the center of everything we do. Our AAP policy ensures that community members have a voice in project design, implementation, and evaluation. Fouadi maintains safe and accessible complaint and feedback mechanisms, and guarantees timely and appropriate responses. We regularly measure satisfaction and adapt our work based on community input.
5. Environmental Responsibility Policy
We recognize the growing urgency of climate resilience in humanitarian response. Our environmental policy guides the sustainable use of resources and integration of eco-conscious practices in all interventions. This includes sourcing local materials, reducing waste, and minimizing environmental degradation.
6. Partnership & Localization Strategy
Fouadi is committed to the Grand Bargain and the localization of aid. We believe that sustainable development must be community-led. Our strategy emphasizes long-term, trust-based partnerships with UN Agencies, donors, local NGOs, civil society groups, and government actors. We prioritize capacity strengthening, shared decision-making, and fair resource allocation.
7. Data Protection & Confidentiality Policy
In an age of growing digital risks, Fouadi is dedicated to safeguarding the privacy and dignity of those we serve. Our policy ensures secure handling of all personal and sensitive data, in compliance with international data protection standards. We enforce strict controls on data collection, storage, access, and sharing to prevent misuse or harm.
